I wasn’t planning on ever creating a blog. I was always the super shy kid in school who sat on the sidelines, in the back of class, and avoided social contact as much as possible. I was painfully self-conscious and bullied, even through college.
But after a series of traumatic events in my life and the birth of my beautiful son, everything changed. I suddenly needed to be strong. I suddenly needed to feel safe being seen. I suddenly needed to use my voice, and to learn first and foremost what that sounded like, how it felt, and what I wanted to say. I spent years keeping myself small to stay safe. And in the end, it didn’t keep me safe. It actually led to the unfortunate situations I ended up facing head on.
I spent the first 30 years of my life trying to be normal. It didn’t go well. So now I’m being me.
My name is Lauren. I’m an empath, healer, mom, survivor, and lover of life, God, and this amazing world.
