Post-Pregnancy Healing and Recovery: Embracing the Mare

One of the hardest things about being a new mother is the transition from being pregnant to actually being a mom. This time frame of postpartum healing, which often includes sleepless nights and anxious days, confusing and conflicting advice from experts and friends, and so much fear, wreaks havoc on our energetic systems.

One of the things I found most helpful was to celebrate this transition in tiny ways. That can be super challenging to do, especially if your child has jaundice, doesn’t sleep, you’re breastfeeding, etc.

So how can new moms honor themselves in a way that’s quick and fulfilling?

Take a few minutes to envision yourself as a beautiful horse. Graceful, strong, amazing, and capable, you have the muscles, the brains, the power, and the love it takes to ease through this transition and embrace this new role.

You’re no longer a filly. You’re a mare. And that’s something to be darn proud of.

Unconditional Love and Light,

Lauren
