Do You Know Your Shadow Side?

Recently, I was putting my son to bed at night and he looked at the wall beside us and burst out laughing. He started dancing and waving, making his shadow move in funny ways around the room.

I was amazed at how delighted he was. It was his first time really noticing his shadow. And instead of being fearful, he was delighted and amused. To him, it was just another really cool thing about being here in this body, on this earth plane.

And it got me thinking, how well do we as adults and Lightworkers know our shadows?

In this world, there is light and darkness. It’s filled with opposites and we as empaths, Lightworkers, way showers, spiritual warriors, and spiritual beings need to be strong to that. This is especially important when it comes to doing your mission.

As a human being, you’ve likely held judgments, accusations, and wrongful feelings at certain points in your life. But have you taken some time to get to know the side of you that those stemmed from?

If a thought comes into your mind and it’s from your shadow side, ask it why it said that to you. And ask that with empowered compassion.

I have a feeling that part of you will say, “Because I want to keep you safe.” “Because I think you deserve better.” “Because I don’t want you to be hurt again.”

These shadows are not something to be celebrated or feared, avoided or embraced, reprimanded or befriended. These shadows are just what they are: shadows. They’re not the real you.

So if they’re not you, can you let them go?

Unconditional Love and Light,

Lauren
