How do you balance both dedication and surrender in your life?
This is a question that often stumps spiritual and energetically sensitive individuals. You may be an empath yourself or you may run into them anywhere. I’ve met highly spiritual and energetically sensitive individuals who are grocery clerks, CEOs, warehouse workers, accountants, analysts, soldiers, paralegals, doctors, teachers, and more.
Spirituality isn’t something that’s only found in temples. And being empathic and energetically sensitive isn’t something that only happens to people who gravitate to meditation, reiki, or the healing world.
So when you’re spiritual and empathic AND you also live as a human being on this earth plane, how do you balance your spiritual side with being a “normal” person from 9 to 5 (and later) each day?
I found this challenging after being in the workforce for awhile. I was working in private equity and financial services for a few years and it was not the place for me. At the time, I didn’t know anything about energy work or how to protect myself. I had no boundaries and some of the people I worked with in that environment were not living in integrity. But for many years, I had to stay there in those jobs.
How do you clear, heal and protect yourself when working in environments like that? And more importantly, how do you remain strong to your spiritual roots and allow them to grow while you’re working in a job that may not support you emotionally or energetically?
- Take one step at a time
- Remain strong and sovereign
- Set up your boundaries
- Learn when to say No and when to say Yes
- Let go of past hurts
- Stay present in your body
- Listen – truly listen – in each and every moment
- Have faith that today is going exactly as it should and tomorrow will be amazing
- Set the intention that you will continue to do your spiritual work throughout the day and every day
- Remember to embrace all love
These are the keys to healthy dedication and joyful surrender.
It’s not staying glued to your cubicle chair for 72 hours straight, playing the martyr of motherhood, or making sure you’re too busy to interact with family and friends. None of that is real.
Life and love are about showing up, being the REAL you in all relationships, and staying strong to your life’s mission.
How does dedication and surrender show up in your life? How do you balance what needs to be done with what should be felt, seen, heard, experienced, and loved?
Unconditional Love and Light,
Lauren
